How Campania International's Covers Work
Made from soft, flexible Tyvek material, these covers feature a one-way breathable design that allows trapped moisture to escape while preventing rain and dust from entering. They come packaged in their own storage sack and do not contain environmentally harmful polyvinyl chloride (PVC). They are water-resistant and are only available in the shown color. The covers also include a locking drawstring for a more secure fit and are available in four sizes to accommodate a variety of fountains. The fountain covers are not intended to fit snugly on the fountain. They should be loose enough to use the drawstring to keep them in place. For large estate fountains with a fiberglass basin, the fountain cover is designed to cover only the center portion of the fountain. Compared to other materials, such as vinyl, polyester, canvas, or PVC, the Tyvek Material has proven to be the top performer for fountain covers.
Why the Material of the Fountain Cover Matters

Using a fountain cover made from a plastic material, such as a plastic tarp, creates a greenhouse effect. It traps the moisture under the tarp, allowing water to freeze into the cast stone in cold climates and making the right conditions for mold and fungus to grow in warm climates.
