The best practice for fountain care in freezing environments is the use of a fountain cover. The cover must offer a degree of warmth, be 100% waterproof, and still have a breathable factor. The breathable, lightweight cover allows trapped moisture to escape and keeps rain, snow, and dust out. Campania has perfected these requirements for the cast stone fountains. There are four cover sizes to choose from, and to find your fountain size, refer to the fountain assembly instructions or the product page. The Campania fountain covers are spec'd based on the fountain's general size. Fountain covers are not custom molded to each fountain; they fit similarly to a fitted sheet. This design allows for the necessary breathable factor to work for the fountain. For the large basin fountains that have a fiberglass base, the only portion that needs to be covered is the cast stone center.
