Cast stone benches are durable but require care during winter freeze-thaw cycles. Place your bench on a permeable surface, like gravel, pavers, or concrete. Placing benches directly on grass, mulch, or dirt in areas where it freezes can lead to damage. In winter, protect it with a burlap cover and dark plastic.
